CLARETTrouble in Terrorist Town

Getting started

You do not need to know any of this to play a round. It is all here for when you want to.

1. Play a round

Innocent, traitor or detective, same as any TTT server. At the end of the round you get a payslip — Scrap and XP, itemised, with every bonus you earned listed on it.

2. Open the menu

Press F3. The Home tab shows your payslip, your daily crates and your quests. Everything else lives behind the tabs along the top.

3. Open a crate

You get free crates every day just for turning up — 3 a day, or 5 with VIP. Crates hold weapons, cosmetics and the tools that modify them.

4. Make it yours

Apply a finish, fit a kill counter, re-roll a stat you do not like. Lock anything you never want to lose — a locked item is refused by every tool that would change it.

The two currencies

Neither of them can be bought. That is the whole design.

Scrap

The everyday currency. Earned every round, spent on crates, and refunded when you break an item down. If you are playing, you are earning it.

Prototype Scrap

Rare, and only good for one thing: crafting a Prototype weapon. It drops from crates, deconstructs, round wins and MVPs at a low flat rate, so it accumulates rather than being farmed.

Credits are a third currency and work differently — they are the paid one. The only way to earn one by playing is the one-off reward for reaching level 64; every other credit comes from a purchase or an admin grant. They buy time and access, never stats.

What a round pays

Everyone who actually plays the round gets a base 20 Scrap, win or lose. On top of that:

Base payScrap
Played the round (any outcome)+20
Innocent win+15
Detective win+18
Traitor win+20
Survived to the end+5

VIP multiplies all of the above by 1.25x. Then there are bonuses for specific things you did in the round, paid the moment you earn them:

ActionScrap
C4 defused+30
Pacifist round+10
Multi-kill+10
Voted for the round MVP+10
Traitor weapon confiscated+5
Detective toolkit used+4
Kill+4

Spectating pays nothing. A round you did not play does not pay, and sitting in spectator across several rounds starts costing you Scrap — a slot on a full server is worth something. Dying early is not spectating: you still played the round, so you still get the base pay. If the server is full and someone new is trying to join, a spectator may be kicked at random to make room for them — so do not sit idle in spectator on a full server if you want to keep your slot.

The F3 menu

Nine tabs. These are the four you will actually live in.
